North Horsham ‘Now and Then’

If you’ve been on the Facebook site “Memories of Horsham” you will have seen the wonderful pictures of North Horsham parish in times gone by.

As part of Horsham District Council’s Year of Culture (2019), North Horsham Parish Council would like to make a pictorial , historical record of our Parish that can be found on the Parish Council’s website and which can be used for future generations to understand what the Parish was like in 2019.

The Parish Council would like as many people as possible to join in and take a photograph in the parish on 6th July 2019. The date has been chosen to coincide with the annual Riverside Walk as it is hoped that lots of people will be out and about on that day. It can be a picture of people, places, new buildings, old buildings, an event or anything which represents life in North Horsham in 2019.

Once you have taken the photograph, send it into the Clerk by e-mail parish.clerk@northhorsham-pc.gov.uk and it will be posted on the Parish Council’s website. Please include details of where the photograph has been taken and the date. Please ensure that you have permission to take photographs of people as we will assume that when the photographs are published. Any unsuitable images will not be published. The decision of the Council is final on this.

On September 7th 2019, the Parish Council is hosting an event at Roffey Millennium Hall entitled “Horsham Now and Then”. This will be an opportunity to bring along photographs of North Horsham and reminisce with other people in the community. The event will run from 10.30am to 12.30pm and there will be refreshments available throughout the session. More details of that event will be made available in the coming weeks.
